Nomadic trails - Kyrgyzstan

This trekking allows you to appreciate the Kyrgyz nomads life along the silk road .

Day 1: Arrival - Chong Kemin (140km)

Reception at the airport and transfer to the guest house. Free visit of Bishkek. Transfer to Burana, the ancient capital of Central Asia "Balasagun", visit the park, the small museum and the minaret. Then transfer to Chong Kemin Valley. Free time in Chon Kemin National Park. Meals and overnight at the inhabitant.

Day 2: Chong Kemin - Kogur Lake

2 days trekking to Lake Issyk Kul. In the morning, after a vehicle transfer in the Chong Kemin River Canyon, walk east to Lake Kogur at 2500m. Night under tent.

Day 3: Col Koel Toer - Lake Issyk Kul - the Duyre Valley

In the morning, ducol passage located at 3380m. and descent with a magnificent view of Lake Issyk Kul and the Terskey Alatoo range at over 5200m. Picnic near an old barn of Kolkhoz. Walk to arrive in the valley of Duyre. Bivouac.

Day 4: Transfer to Karakol

Transfer to Karakol. Stop in town at Cholpon Ata. Road along the lake. Swimming and picnic by the lake. Then visit the museum of Prjevalsky, explorer of Central Asia, in the 19th century. Night in a guesthouse.

Day 5: Transfer Juuku valley.

Walking: 6-7h between 2300m and 2800m
Transfer to Kyzyl Tuu village. Appointment with the groom, load of luggage on the horses of packs. Departure of the 4-day trek on the Great Silk Road. Picnic. Meeting of shepherds. Night under tent.

Day 6: the valley of Juuku

Walk: 6h, + 500m.
Walk through the forests and meadows of Tien-Shan. In the Middle Ages, there passed the caravaneers of the Great Silk Road. Night under tent.

Day 7: Juuku Pass - Syrt Arabel - Lake Chokoli

Walk: 6h, + 900m.
Ascent to the Juuku Pass at 3800m. Picnic at the pass. Continuation of the path on the heights of this plateau. Arrival at Lake Chokoli, camp facility. Night under tent. (3850m)

Day 8: Barskon Pass - Transfer to Barskon Village

Walking time: 4-5h, +/-: 500/500 m
In the morning, the groom team continues to the meeting place with the driver. Climb to the top of the mountain of Barskon, to have a very beautiful sight on the Arabel plateau. Picnic at the edge of a small mountain lake. Transfer to the village of Barskoon. Short break in front of the waterfall near the statue of Yuri Gagarin. Night in a guest house.

Day 9: Transfer Barskon - Song Kul (300km)

Visit of an eagle hunter in the village of Bokonbaeva. Road to Kalmak Ashu Pass (3470m). From the pass, walk to a summit or to a lake. Traditional meal and night under yurt. (3090m) at the oldest nomad Batma apa.

Day 10: Song Kul

Walk: 6-7 h
Discovery of the daily life of the nomads. Yurt to yurt walk. We arrive at Tuz Ashuu. Night under yurt.

Day 11: Song Kul - Kilemché Pasture

In the morning depart Song Kol Lake via Kyzart pass 3300 m. Descent to Kilemché pasture. Picnic at the pass, dinner and overnight at the nomads under the yurt.

Day 12: Kilemché - Kochkor

Descent on the road and say goodbye to our trekking team. Following the picnic, transfer to the village Kochkor. Visit of a small museum of traditional objects and souvenirs made by the Association of the women of the village. Homestay dinner at the inhabitant, accompanied by a folk concert.

Day 13: Kochkor - canyon Konorchek - Bishkek

Visit red canyons of Konorchek. Picnic. Transfer to Bishkek at Rich Hotel. Free time. In the evening go for a stroll in Bishkek and dine at the traditional Bukhara restaurant.

Day 14: Transfer to the airport
