The Tusheti region
Tusheti is located in the Great Caucasus Mountains in Georgia. The only gateway to this small mountainous region passes by a pass at nearly 3000m which remains snowy more than 7 months per year. Only one track built during the Soviet period allows an access by car (jeep) from June to October.
The remoteness of the region has preserved the local pagan rites and traditions. We hike on ridges, cross passes over 3000m, admire breathtaking views, overnight in nest eagle villages, walk in wild valleys far from civilisation, meet locals, learn about the Tush culture and traditions, as well as the Georgians last semi-nomads.
The expeditions
The expeditions are tailor made according to your physical conditions and wishes. The group is a minimum of 5-6 persons. The duration should not be under 7 days because of the remoteness of the region and the time to get in/out.
Price precision
The itinerary is organised from your arrival at Tbilisi airport. (flight ticket is on your own).
